Exploring Habib’s Intellectual Experience

Students at Habib University are well-aware of career market demands from the very beginning of their journey. The university fosters close links with industry leaders and academia, ensuring students gain real-world exposure through a broad curriculum, interdisciplinary programs, industry-based projects, and global learning experiences.

A highlight of the event was the ‘Exploring Habib’s Intellectual Experience’ exhibit, which showcased Habib University’s interdisciplinary programs, minors, and research projects. This display allowed industry leaders to witness the depth of intellectual engagement that Habib students bring to the professional world.

A Diverse Spectrum of Industry Leaders

This year’s Career Connect featured a diverse range of renowned employers, including The Aga Khan University, Jazz, National Foods, L’Oréal Pakistan, and Bank Alfalah, among others. These organizations set up interactive branded stalls, offering students first hand exposure to industry trends, career pathways, and job opportunities.

Habib University also featured its own ACE Management Trainee Program at a dedicated stall. The ACE initiative emphasizes continuous learning, collaboration with global partners, and accelerated career growth, giving students a unique opportunity to advance within the Habib community.

Student Perspectives: A Mutually Engaging Experience

Habib Career Connect 2025 provided students with a platform to engage with top employers, gain industry insights, and explore career opportunities. Through interactive activities like Q&A sessions, games, and digital resume submissions via QR codes, students are actively connected with potential employers.

Reflecting on her experience, Shehzeen Shafiq, Social Development and Policy student from the Class of 2025, highlighted how the event deepened her understanding of career opportunities:

“The employers explained the opportunities and their work environments, which made me think about why I would want to work with them, not just why they want me.”

She also emphasized the significance of Habib’s interdisciplinary education in shaping her career aspirations:

“Habib’s interdisciplinary education is key in engaging with employers. My degree, aligned with my research and my minors in comparative literature and philosophy, allows me to explore various opportunities.”

The students also connected with alumni mentors, gaining first hand insights into career trajectories and life after graduation. These mentorship opportunities provided valuable guidance, allowing them to navigate career choices with a well-rounded understanding of the industry expectations.
