Description

The core idea of my concept is to design a digital platform that supports skilled construction workers (mazdoors) and clients within Karachi’s construction ecosystem. Rather than replacing existing systems, the app aims to organize and strengthen the largely informal hiring process by making it more transparent and structured for all stakeholders involved. Currently, hiring often relies on personal referrals, verbal agreements, and trust-based arrangements, which can lead to misunderstandings around payment records, timelines, and responsibilities. This platform seeks to introduce features such as documented work history, digital payment tracking, and accessible information about labor rights not to disrupt the system, but to make it clearer and more reliable for everyone.
