April 13, 2012: In 2010, Habib University Foundation signed long-term and wide-ranging institutional partnerships with Carnegie Mellon University and Texas A&M University at Qatar for the creation of Habib University. Since then, the Foundation has expanded the partnerships fold and is also collaborating with individuals from other institutions at Qatar Education City. On April 13, 2012, H.U.F. hosted a gathering to acknowledge the contributions of its partners in learning and to share the progress in partnerships. Speeches were given by Mr. Wasif Rizvi, CEO, Habib University Foundation, Dr. Mark Weichold, Dean, Texas A&M University and Dr. Benjamin Reilly, Associate Teaching Professor, Carnegie Mellon University.
