KARACHI: Habib University and Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company (Private) Limited (PKIC) have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish fully funded scholarships for meritorious and financially deserving students.
This landmark partnership stands firmly within Habib University’s institutional commitment to educational equity, accessibility, and academic excellence. By removing financial barriers, the collaboration enables talented students to pursue a rigorous liberal arts and sciences education that would otherwise remain inaccessible to them.
Speaking on the strategic impact of the alliance, President Wasif Rizvi highlighted how critical corporate philanthropy is to the university’s mission. He noted that PKIC’s support makes a genuinely transformative experience possible for students, emphasizing that sustained corporate investment in higher education is essential to constructing the country’s long-term intellectual foundations.
Echoing these sentiments, PKIC’s Managing Director, Saad Ur Rehman, framed the initiative not merely as corporate social responsibility, but as a direct, strategic investment in the nation’s intellectual and economic leadership.
By merging institutional vision with corporate responsibility, the partnership between Habib University and PKIC serves as a powerful model for how academia and industry can collaboratively safeguard the future of Pakistan’s youth, ensuring that financial constraints do not limit the potential of the country’s brightest minds.
