Final Year Project
Project Title
EthnoVerse
Description
This project presents EthnoVerse, a digital archive building immersive 3D representations of culturally significant spaces in Sindh, a region whose rich heritage remains underrepresented in global digital preservation. Using 3D Gaussian Splatting, we capture multi-view images of physical environments and reconstruct them as photorealistic, real-time navigable scenes without requiring specialized hardware or high computational infrastructure. These interactive environments are deployed through a web-based platform, enabling free exploration of spaces that hold communal memory, ritual, and daily life. By centering communities often excluded from digital heritage initiatives, EthnoVerse offers both a preservation tool and a counter-archive, creating space for Sindhi cultural expression through accessible technology and immersive storytelling.
