Final Year Project
Project Title
Almari
Description
Almari is Pakistan's first integrated digital wardrobe and virtual try-on system, built specifically for local fashion. Women in Pakistan spend up to 40 minutes daily choosing outfits, while e-commerce platforms offer no reliable fit visualization—driving decision fatigue and high return rates. Almari addresses this through three core modules: a digital wardrobe for organizing owned clothing, an AI-powered recommendation engine that factors in weather, occasion, and cultural context, and a 2D virtual try-on system using computer vision and AR. The project also establishes the first AR/CV-ready dataset for Pakistani traditional garments. The result is a culturally aware, mobile-first styling companion that reduces decision fatigue, improves online shopping confidence, and promotes sustainable wardrobe use.
