Empowering Students Through
Research Excellence

A key component of the GSCP, the flagship Summer Tehqiq Research Programs (STRPs), offer students insights into the caliber of research required at the graduate level. This summer research program for undergraduate students allows them to develop and refine their research ideas under the guidance of Habib University’s faculty to address local and contextual issues.

Summer Tehqiq Research Program (STRP) 1

In STRP-1, students work closely with Habib University’s experienced faculty and fellows to learn data collection and analysis techniques essential for quality research in the best university in Pakistan. Mentored by experts with global exposure, students gain a deeper understanding of their areas of interest and set clear research goals.

Summer Tehqiq Research Program (STRP) 2

In STRP-2, students apply their learnings from STRP-1 to formulate and refine their own research topics, guided by faculty advisors. This summer research program for undergraduates helps them build their independent research portfolios and explore professional opportunities within academia.

How can students benefit from STRPs?

The STRPs equip students with essential skills for graduate school and foster academic linkages through close mentoring in faculty and independent research, enhancing research ethics and confidence for graduate-level rigor. These summer research programs facilitate mentorship bonds, funding, and publication opportunities, strengthening graduate school applications.

Testimonials

  • Asiya Azad

STRP-1 has been a tremendous journey of exploration and insight, where I learnt about the potential relationship between space and education through spatial analysis. This experience has intrigued me to pursue research in the field of education further.

  • Samana Batul

I began the program with a topic I have always felt emotionally connected to and I realized I needed resilience to write this paper, because I had to learn how to be neutral and conduct unbiased research in my field. I learnt how to decode my thoughts in the best possible manner.

  • Anousha Irshad

For me, working on this project has been an interesting and exciting experience. It helped me develop a wide variety of skills, from metadata organization and archival creation to the study of new theories. I really enjoyed working hands-on with the data and the process of creating the archive.

  • Laiba Ahmed

My major takeaway from this project is: learning is fun, even if conducting self-led research is a slow process. Learning new software and defining the project's scope was not easy, but I've gained valuable insights. Looking forward, I'm excited to keep working on this project, and though there were challenges, I found joy in the process of learning and exploring..
