Graduate School Curation Program

Graduate School Curation Program (GSCP)

The Graduate School Curation Program (GSCP) is designed to equip students with the required knowledge and skillsets to succeed at the Master or PhD level at any competitive university worldwide.

Core Components of GSCP

Summer Tehqiq Research Program (STRP)

A major component of GSCP are the flagship Summer Tehqiq Research Programs (STRPs), that provide students with insights into the caliber of research required at graduate level. Within this undergraduate research program, the students also get the opportunity to develop and refine their own research ideas under the dedicated guidance of Habib University’s faculty.

Graduate School Application Support

Applying to graduate schools can be a daunting and time-consuming process. Thus, one of GSCP’s primary objectives is to curate this experience, ensuring preparing for graduate school is simple. The program offers students support with preparing for standardized tests, filling out applications, and writing the best possible essays. In addition, the program also helps students by subsidizing the costs of these tests and university applications, so that deserving students are not held back because of financial constraints.

Cohort Building Exercises

Collaboration is an essential element of success at any point in life, including success at graduate school. The GSCP encourages camaraderie and collaboration among its participating students via various activities, including field trips, group picnics, crafting sessions, and other team-building exercises. By getting to know their peers outside of the classroom, the GSCP participants enhance their ability to collaborate effectively within academic settings.

Guest Lectures from Experts

To help our students gain valuable insight, the GSCP organizes guest lectures featuring Habib University faculty, staff, industry experts, and leading academics. From discussions on scholarships like Fulbright and Erasmus to in-depth discussions on topics relevant to the students’ summer research projects, these sessions offer a valuable opportunity to learn from experts while preparing for graduate school. These lectures are a great opportunity to expand horizons, bridging theory with practice in a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Program Goals

Vision of Excellence

The Graduate School Curation Program (GSCP) is part of Habib University’s vision to develop a culture of academic and research excellence among its students. We understand that the students at Habib often have brilliant ideas that can catalyze significant, positive change in the world. The GSCP’s vision is to provide students with a platform to help them reach those goals.

Building Community

At the GSCP, we understand the importance of community and collaboration in fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. Through our dedicated efforts to build strong cohorts, we create opportunities for meaningful connections that extend beyond the classroom.

International Impact

The brilliance of our students has resounded different countries in recent years and it is the aim of the GSCP to make sure that Habib University’s international presence continues to grow from this point. Through partnerships and collaborations, the program intends to incorporate a global consciousness within the university and provide pathways for our students to succeed in graduate programs around the world.

Application for Summer Tehqiq Research Program

The Summer Tehqiq Research Program offers a unique opportunity for Habib University students to collaborate on and lead innovative research projects.

Why should I Apply?

The STRPs (Summer Tehqiq Research Programs), part of the GSCP, equip students with vital skills for graduate school and foster academic linkages. Through these undergraduate research programs, you gain close mentoring by working on Faculty and Independent research, giving you a strong exposure to research ethics and the confidence to match the rigor and autonomy expected at the graduate level. You will form mentorship bonds, access funding, and publication opportunities – all of which are valuable honors on a graduate school admission application.

Weekly meetings, interdisciplinary sessions, leadership development and guest lectures create a vibrant intellectual community. Through shared experiences, you learn from others and form lasting bonds that extend beyond the research program.
