Final Year Project
Project Title
We: The Things That I Inherited
Description
My thesis is a personal project focusing on my family: my parents, my childhood, and the things we have inherited from each other, both tangible and intangible, expressed through poetry. I have used old family photographs and tried to recreate them, staying true to the originals but also allowing for change to come through; the way that my sisters and I have stayed true to the image of my mother, but changed in our little ways as well. My main mediums are photography, typography, and poetry. The title of my project is We, reflecting that the “we” really transforms over time to become “me”.
