Migration Experiences of Students

Description

It is an auto-ethnographic investigation of the life of a young student who comes from outside Karachi, examining the intersections of class, gender, and religion. The objective is to present an authentic and genuine portrayal of the student's experiences, enabling the audience to connect with or empathize with the narrative. This project addresses the issue of underrepresentation of certain identities in elite institutions, which results in the marginalization of individuals who lack privilege. To achieve this, a narrative film essay will be created, incorporating archival footage, images, and personal interviews. Through this film, I aspire to evoke emotions and inspire new perspectives among the audience. It has the potential to challenge stereotypes, promote empathy, and bring attention to significant cultural and social issues related to gender, class, and religion.
