Project Title

Role of Aga Khan Education Service Pakistan (AKES, P) in Strengthening the Social Capital of Pakistan

Description

This paper aims to explore and analyze the importance of AKES, P's contribution to building and strengthening social capital in Pakistan. It examines the role of AKES, P in fostering individual cohesiveness, group coordination, membership in voluntary associations, and building solidarity and leadership among its educational institutions. Drawing on the concept of social capital proposed by sociologist Robert Putnam, the paper investigates the contributions of AKES, P to social welfare and educational services in relation to the four key elements of social capital mentioned above.
