Prosthetic Hand via EMG Interface

Description

This capstone design project uses 3D printing techniques in conjunction with Electromyography to design prosthetic hands. These prosthesis use EMG as an interface to form a link with the human muscle. This (artificial) hand only works with amputees that have a working forearm. Our prosthesis have a human like feel with fourteen degrees of freedom, mimicking the original human hand. The hand can be additionally trained for human like gesture via an accompanied software platform. This is a joint project with Ghazal Haider.
