Final Year Project
Project Title
Exploratory Study to Determine Efficacy of Haptic Feedback and Virtual Reality for Flight Simulation Training
Description
For my final year project, I have designed a flight simulator, which is used by pilots to practice flying of a particular aircraft, using VR and Haptic Feedback. The simulators that do exist in the world have some setbacks, like, portability issues, development complexity, financial constraints, and configuration problems. However, the use of Haptic Feedback and Virtual Reality increases the accuracy of the flight experience, and gives greater control to the user in terms of customisation. By reducing the size, individual pilots will be equipped with their own flight simulator, which they will be able to carry in their backpack and practice flying at their leisure.
