Kiyari - A DIY Aquaponics Kit

Description

Kiyari proposes a sustainable solution to the growing food insecurity in our local context. The project offers a DIY aquaponics kit for households in urban settings and proposes aquaponics as an alternative for communities in the interior remote areas of Sindh as a means of subsistence. The project incorporates elements of design research, product designing, and advocacy. There are multiple facets of the project including optimization of the aquaponics system through product design, community engagement, and development of training material in the form of marketing collaterals for advocacy.
