Final Year Project
Project Title
The Neo-Liberal Macro-Economy and the People of Pakistan
Description
Neo-liberalism came into prominence in the late 1970’s, and dominated the world’s economic system for the next 40 years with immense implications for economies worldwide. My thesis explores the repercussions of neo-liberal policies on the economy of Pakistan. However, my approach differs from the conventional economic inquiry by taking into question the effects of the neo-liberal policies not only on the macro-economic determinants of the country, but also on how they affect the common person. I outline suggestions on policy recourse that can be undertaken by the country to improve the economic condition of Pakistan.
