Final Year Project

Project Title

V-Tropolis: Immersive AR application on Climate Change

Description

Our final year project is an AR-based game, (similar to PokemonGo but for plants) built on Unity, targeting deforestation and pollution in Karachi. We are building an AR based game that targets problems of climate change, deforestation, global warming etc. Our game aims to provide both corrective (planting trees to explain how it can counteract the damage caused by carbon emission) and preventive measures (by providing stats and information regarding carbon emissions and awareness regarding climate change). We have an AR module that visualizes plants placed in the game in the real-time surroundings, a map module that tracks plants in the user’s vicinity and records distance with all the other plants, a backend firebase module recording the users’ profile and updating their stats; a game module which includes inventory, user and plant statistics and finally a shop module with in-app purchases.
