Project Title
Understanding the Life Trajectories of Female Athletes in Mirpurkhas - An Exploratory Study
Description
This project aims to explore the life trajectories of female athletes in Mirpurkhas who have played various sports at regional, national, and international levels. The objective was to understand what motivates these women to pursue something as unconventional as sports, especially in a city like Mirpurkhas, where the majority of youth typically specialize in science fields. The findings revealed that only a few women in Mirpurkhas play sports, and they usually get exposed to the field between the ages of 14 and 16. Over time, their passion and drive for sports grow, leading them to pursue it professionally. However, challenges off the field, such as budgeting and lack of proper training, have a significant impact.
