Project Title

Automatic Fingerprint Identification System

Description

This is an industrial project led by NextLinks that works closely with the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies to protect Quetta from security threats. In the past, there have been multiple Safe City Projects (SCP) in Pakistan namely Islamabad Safe City Project and Lahore Safe City Project monitored by Punjab Safe City Authority. This project is unique because it is focused on patrolling the borders of a city which has not been a top priority for any other SCP. In the context of Quetta, it is much more important to record the data on the city entry/exit points not only to prevent unwanted individuals from trespassing the city but also to highlight the unregistered Afghan refugees coming into Quetta (Group Project)
