Final Year Project

Project Title

Rendering and Editing Non-Euclidean Geometry in Real-Time from First Person Perspective

Description

The project aims to visualize non-Euclidean geometry from a first-person perspective, a space where objects distort and straight lines don't seem like straight lines as seen in movies like interstellar. It helps a user get a better intuitive understanding of the space with the practical application that it can face a large amount of space through curvature into the same physical space allowing for larger maps and game worlds to be rendered in virtual reality while staying in the confines of a small room. The user no longer needs to hold a joystick or device to move his character forward when he reaches the end of the physical room. The curvature makes it so that the player goes around in circles while making it appear to him that he is walking in a straight line.
