Description
My Final Year Project is V-EYE (Virtual Eye), a mobile app that helps visually impaired people navigate indoors independently, without relying on others. Pakistan has over 26 million people living with vision impairments. V-EYE uses a smartphone camera to describe surroundings through voice in English and Urdu. It identifies nearby objects, recognizes familiar faces, detects colors, and identifies Pakistani currency notes in real time. Accessibility was a core focus throughout development. The app follows accessibility standards to ensure it works for people with full or partial blindness, and since it runs on an ordinary smartphone, it is affordable and available to people from all backgrounds. The goal is to give visually impaired individuals greater confidence and independence in daily life.
