Final Year Project
Project Title
Fooddrive – Surplus Food Distribution Management System
Description
My final year project is on food surplus. In most events there’s excess food left which goes to waste, the same is true for various restaurants. Our solution, which is an app, is inspired by the Robin Hood Army (RHA). They collect leftover food from places and distribute it to the people in need. However, our solution is an automated system following a careem type model. Through this app, a contributor could select the location and the food quantity, which will create a request for a volunteer to come and collect the food. The volunteer also has to drop it off at the location the user has set on the map, which is available on the app.
