Project Title
Wind Power and Electricity Price Forecast
Description
Due to the rising concern of the global warming being directly linked to the use of fossil fuel, the need for the innovation and stability of the alternative energy sources like wind, solar, and nuclear has become very crucial. In case of the wind power generation through the wind turbines, there are a number of factors that affect the production of the wind power. Due to seasons and weather, the windspeed, primary driver of the wind energy generation, varies and affects the overall production of the wind power, which is not fixed. Therefore, it became very important to be able to predict the wind power forecast to manage the transmission of power through wind power plant along with other sources of energy. I am using Empirical Mode decomposition method in hybrid with Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) to forecast the weekly and monthly wind speed and wind power generation.
