Publications / Creative Projects

  • B-Cap (Bus Capacity counter): A project in Engineering Design and Innovation course using human centered design approach. A prototype was designed to count the capacity inside the public buses in Karachi.
  • Mechatron Ultra: Mechatron Ulta is an Arduino based human shaped robot controlled through an app via Bluetooth. The motivation behind this project was to make a mobile robot that can be controlled via Bluetooth remotely. And using its mobility we could use it for several operations where human presence is dangerous or is not suitable.
  • Feasibility Study of Different Power System Generation Methods in Pakistan; an academic research.
  • Exergy Analysis of Thermal Power Plants Across the World; an academic research.
  • Consumer Complaints Analytics: Analyzed a dataset of 1,000,000+ observations using data science techniques. Along with the complete analysis, a detailed report was generated.

Final Year Project

Project Title

GeneTech: A Tool for Optimization, Synthesis and Technology Mapping of Genetic Logic Circuits

Description

Synthetic biology is about designing and constructing new biological entities or redesigning of existing biological systems. Genetic circuits come under applications of synthetic biology where biological parts inside a cell are designed or engineered to perform logical computations like electronic logic circuits. These circuits consist of a genetic component found in DNA and operate inside living cells. Genetic Circuits perform the logical operations to execute desired logical operations activated by the presence or absence of certain proteins and other elements. GeneTech is a tool for the synthesis and technology mapping of genetic circuits. Given a Boolean expression it generates all possible genetic circuits using the technology mapping algorithm. It also produces the SBOL files for the generated circuits. (Group Project)
