Final Year Project

Project Title

Project Tashkhees

Description

Our project is a two-fold cancer stage detection using gene expression profiles and histopathological images. With cancer being one of the leading causes of death around the world, our focus is to exploit this data to facilitate cancer staging diagnosis. Our project aims to aid in speeding up the process of cancer detection for incoming patients by using the machine learning model to predict the stage of a certain type of cancer of a patient to develop a certain type of cancer by looking at their protein production levels in a certain anatomic locality. Furthermore, to use the imaging data to detect deterioration patterns within tissue samples to further confirm the diagnosis. Time is of essence to decrease the rate of fatality with cancer treatments; this early onset through machine learning, if made vastly accessible, can speed up the entire process and enable early intervention.
