Final Year Project

Project Title

Threads of life

Description

Threads of Life is a 2D narrative-driven video game that addresses a gap in modern gaming where moral choices are reduced to simplistic, binary systems. Instead of fixed dialogue options, players respond to ethically complex dilemmas in their own words — via text or voice — and an AI backend (Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash) evaluates their responses across dimensions like empathy, prosocial behavior, and engagement. These evaluations dynamically alter the game's physical environment, unlocking different paths and ultimately one of four distinct endings. The project demonstrates how large language models can power meaningful moral reflection in interactive media, with potential applications in ethics education and psychological research. An example of the additional features is dynamic NPC voice generation.
