Project Title

Relationship Between IMF and Pakistan

Description

Pakistan in its short history of membership in the International Monetary Fund has approached the organization a total of 21times for a loan arrangement to achieve its desired growth and better its economy. This report will detail the background of the IMF and its policies; examine the history of its interactions with Pakistan - in specific the arrangements between 2000 and 2016 – and how Pakistan performed in those arrangements; moreover, how the prolonged use of IMF arrangements influences the socio-political and economic climate of the country.
