Final Year Project
Project Title
The Day Gromble Finished the Story of a Wibbly Wobbly Tooth
Description
This is an illustrated children's book developed from research on how stories help highly sensitive people recognize and process emotions. The story follows Gromble, a timid storytelling monster who struggles to finish telling a story because he is afraid of its ending or, rather, afraid of what ending this specific story would mean for him. As he journeys through icky landscapes along with his friend, he becomes a little braver and learns the importance of letting go. This thesis project explores how metaphorical storytelling and illustrations can create a safe emotional space for readers to identify, process, and find comfort in complex feelings.
