Final Year Project
Project Title
Qurbat ki Lehrain - A Short Film
Description
Qurbat ki Lehrain is the title of the short film that I worked on for my thesis Project. My thesis research was based on how language can shape the reality of an interpersonal relationship. Taking philosophical and psychological approaches, it was established how reality, which we perceive as absolute is rather a very subjective matter. Every Human being evolves in a different conditioning, curating his/her own unique reality. When two people come together, the way they perceive things, present their demands for the relationship and reciprocate, it all comes down essentially to language. The film explores the same themes, how the language alone can disrupt the totality of the relationship and the realization that long term, harmonious relationship requires work, merging and morphing of the realities, and the right use of language. A message I want to pass to my audience, delivered in both storytelling and cinematic styles.
