Description

SafeKarachi is a mobile-first platform designed to address the daily safety and mobility challenges faced by Karachi's residents. Karachi, despite being Pakistan's economic hub, consistently ranks among the world's least livable cities due to rampant street crime, traffic congestion, flooding, and poor infrastructure. Existing navigation apps only optimize for time and distance, leaving commuters vulnerable to unsafe routes. SafeKarachi bridges this gap by recommending routes that prioritize both safety and efficiency, factoring in real-time crime, road conditions, and civic disruptions. Beyond navigation, it fosters community engagement by allowing residents to report and view nearby incidents through area-based groups. This creates a collaborative, informed environment where citizens can make confident, safer travel decisions every day.
