Description
What is fascinating about a city is how it affects its people, just like how its people effect it. A flyover which is, although only a geographical landmark if seen by its physicality, may become a dividing mark among people, for example, the famous Clifton Bridge. It separated one of the two posh areas, Clifton and Defence, from North Nazimabad and Federal B. Area. Thus, my research question is how valid is the statement “beyond the bridge” and whether that divide is now slowly fading? For this, I have created three artist books which show similarities and contrasts existing on the two sides and the experiences that people have shared living on either side.
