Final Year Project

Project Title

Prosthetic Hand via EMG Interface

Description

This capstone design project uses 3D printing techniques in conjunction with Electromyography to design prosthetic hands. These prostheses use EMG as an interface to form a link with the human muscle. This (artificial) hand only works with amputees that have a working forearm. Our prosthesis has a human-like feel with fourteen degrees of freedom, mimicking the original human hand. The hand can be additionally trained for human-like gestures via an accompanied software platform. This is a joint project with Syed Muhammad Baqar Naqvi.
