My final year project focuses on optimizing energy usage for Power Cement, a leading cement manufacturer. We developed predictive models to forecast electricity source availability Including renewable sources like wind and solar. We integrated these forecasts into an optimization algorithm to generate efficient production plans. The primary goal is to minimize the overall basket tariff while ensuring cement production demands are met throughout the year. By strategically leveraging renewable energy, our solution reduces dependency on grid electricity, leading to significant cost savings and promoting sustainability. This project demonstrates the powerful combination of data analytics and optimization techniques in driving industrial efficiency and environmental responsibility.
