I want to pursue my graduate studies in filmmaking, particularly in cinematography as higher education goal. In terms of career, I want to be an independent filmmaker and work freelance on creative film projects with various production houses in Pakistan or abroad. Final Year Project
Project Title
Reeha - A short film
Description
My design research project is a short climate fiction film called Reeha. Design Research I focused on the primary and secondary research related to the topic. Climate has been a pressing issue worldwide. The project aims to highlight how urgent the need to take climate action is in order to save our planet from the disaster that awaits. The Global Climate Risk Index 2020 has ranked Pakistan as the fifth most affected country by climate change during the past two decades. The two events I’m mainly exploring are Lahore Smog and Karachi Heat Waves. My aim is to highlight the effects of climate change from an individual’s perspective to make it more humane and illicit emotions instead of approaching it through a scientific perspective. In Design Research II, I developed a short screenplay considering my research in my mind, and is now going towards the production of the screenplay.
