Description

It is often hard to find blood donors when a crisis strikes. This capstone project creates a network of donors who can help each other in an emergency. KGS Lifeline was formed by a group of parents 23 years ago to promote the habit of regular blood donation, arrange for blood donation camps across Karachi and maintain donor data. This data is however managed through Excel files and has become very complicated and slow. E-Blood aims to create an alternate database system using the latest Database Management Software. All the data will be transferred to E-Blood, thus allowing easy access to its users. As a web-based interface, it allows easy access to user data and helps in arranging willing donors at the time of need. Both the blood donor and the recipient are required to sign up and enter their name, contact information, blood group, and locality. When blood is urgently needed, the willing donors are notified through both SMS and email using this software.
