Project Title

The Role of the Registrar’s Office during Enrollment at Habib University

Description

This paper is a careful analysis of the functioning of one of the most important bureaucratic structures in an educational institution, the Registrar’s Office. In this multi-method research, surveys (to students), interviews (from students, faculty, and office personnel) and observations were used to gather rich qualitative and quantitative data. The findings from this research helped to identify some of the misinformation students held about the enrollment process and the Registrar’s Office in general. It gave a much clearer understanding of the authority held by the Registrar’s Office, once a chain of command was established. Most often it was misconceptions about the role of the Registrar’s Office that generated negative attitudes from the students. After this research, potential solutions were provided to the Registrar’s Office, in hopes to establish a positive and friendly relationship between the student body and the Registrar’s Office (Group Project)
