Final Year Project

Project Title

Communicating Feminist Ideas to Middle Aged Pakistani Women

The purpose of this capstone project was to include middle-aged Pakistani women in mainstream feminist narratives and perspectives. In the contemporary narrative, feminist in Pakistan has a very elitist and urban connotation to it, with most engaging women being young adults. In turn, feminist ideas being put forward are also about transforming lives for the certain age group, leaving out the many older women who could also benefit from pro-women ideas in the subcontinental culture. This project is a social media campaign aimed to bridge the gap between older women and feminist ideas they are not comfortable identifying with.
