Final Year Project

Project Title

Passing through Karachi’s Youth Offenders Industrial School: Tackling Juvenile Delinquents’ Rehabilitation

My project aims to answer the following questions: 1. How are juvenile offenders (aged 16-18) being prepared for their release from the Youth Offenders Industrial School (YOIS)? 2. What were some of the needs and challenges these youth faced when they arrived/and throughout their sentence at the YOIS? 3. What kinds of support services are youth offenders receiving in the YOIS, and how do these services prepare them for social reintegration into civil society?
