Final Year Project

Project Title

Tele-robot for Vitals Monitoring & Measurement (FYP)

Description

My project is inspired by the efforts of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea is to minimize contact time between patients and healthcare workers to mitigate the spread of the virus. The proposed solution is a robot that will measure patients' vital signs via non-contact techniques and communicate them wirelessly to a healthcare worker who will then assess the patient’s health remotely. Heart rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and body temperature will be measured. The robot’s mobility and navigation will be controlled via Ackerman drive. The future scope of this project includes incorporating different tools such as dispensation of basic medication, as well as a provision for a video call between the patient and healthcare worker via a screen mounted on a robot to assist with further diagnosis of the patient.
