Final Year Project

Project Title

Program Design for Inclusive Education of Students with Visual Impairment

Description

This particular project was a program plan for increasing access to quality education for students with visual impairment; the output for which resulted in the form of a request for proposal (RFP). Given the plight of people with disabilities (PWDs) in Pakistan, often struggle with education, and eventually, employment, which hinders their ability to be self-sufficient and independent individuals. Considering this, this program plan was aimed at introducing inclusive education in a couple of schools in Karachi for students with visual impairment to allow them equal access to education as typical children. The motivations behind such a proposal were multiple, however, the primary ones being, equal access to quality education, an intermingling of students with impairments with the mainstream society, and the financial feasibility of an inclusive system & NBSP.
