Book Club

Each semester we come together to discuss a book pertaining to teaching and learning. The book for Fall ’24 is “Super Courses: The Future of Teaching and Learning” by Ken Bain. Instructors and students are both invited to join this group.

Contemplation and Self-cultivation Group

This group focuses on contemplation and self-reflection. Each session is divided into meditation and discussion of a selected text. For Fall ’24, the group discusses “The Reparable and the Irreparable – Being Human in the Age of Vulnerability” by Johann Michel. Instructors and students are both invited.

T with Muneera

Each month, the Associate Dean Teaching & Learning holds a town hall to hear student voices about a particular topic. The student voice directly informs the programming of the Office of Teaching & Learning towards student success.

Community Building

From Fall 2025, faculty and fellows have access to a lounge — a dedicated space to discuss ideas and concerns related to teaching and learning, find collaborators for pedagogical and research projects, or take a break before resuming their responsibilities. The space hosts CPE events and community-building activities including theatre workshops, meditation sessions and illustration workshops.
