\nDesigned and led a meticulous art-based and information-based workshop as part of Aamozish-e-Tehqeeq i.e., a student research conference in Habib University to highlight the nexus between domestic abuse and climate events in Pakistan. Engaged participants in painting plant pots and planting seeds, while fostering meaningful discussions in-conversation with leading environmentalists and activists in Pakistan.
\nUnseen Realities: How WASH Conditions Shape Maternal and Reproductive Health in Karachi’s Marginalized Communities
\nAccess to clean water, adequate sanitation, and proper hygiene (WASH) is a fundamental determinant of maternal, reproductive, and postpartum health. However, women in vulnerable communities of Karachi face severe challenges due to poor WASH conditions, exposing them to heightened risks of infections, pregnancy complications, and adverse reproductive health outcomes. This study examines the intersection of WASH and maternal health by investigating the lived experiences of women in these communities and analyzing systemic gaps in infrastructure, policy implementation, and healthcare access. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates survey data from affected women, interviews with healthcare practitioners and development experts, and policy analysis to uncover the multidimensional impact of inadequate WASH services on maternal well-being.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
