How to Contribute

We have identified some options for making a gift to HU. We are flexible in our approach and will gladly discuss other propositions that you may have. Contact giving@habib.edu.pk for your queries.

Unrestricted and Restricted Gifts

Gifts may be unrestricted, with flexibility to meet the University project’s most immediate needs, or they may be directed to meet an identified priority. If you specify a particular use for the funds – such as construction of academic halls, equipment for research labs, student scholarship, etc. – then your gift will only be used for that purpose.

Endowed Funds

If you make a gift for an endowed fund, it will be invested and the University will benefit from its net income. Endowed gifts have the advantage of providing increasing support for the University since they grow over time.

Real Estate

Under this gift category, you can donate a residential, agricultural, commercial or investment real estate property to Habib University. We request the donors to contact the Resource Development and Sustainability Department for details about your real estate donation.

Securities and Closely-held Stock

You may also wish to transfer public securities (stocks, bonds, or mutual funds) to Habib University or make a donation of privately-held shares of your own non-public company by transferring your shares of the company’s equity or your share of profit to Habib University. Questions about closely-held stock gifts can be directed to Habib University’s Resource Development and Sustainability Department

Personal Property

You can donate equipment, artwork, rare books, or any other kind of property that Habib University can use in its educational mission. We would be happy to discuss your intended gifts to Habib University.

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer employees a matching gift benefit that doubles the contribution to Habib University. When making a donation, please check first to see if your employer has a corporate matching donations program.

Honorary, Memorial and Celebratory Donations

Donations to commemorate a loved one can be designated to any existing Habib University program or fund. For a personal milestone or an important event, such as a wedding, you can ask the guests to give a donation to Habib University and make philanthropy a part of your happy days.

There are many ways to contribute to Habib University. Choose the donation method that works best for you from the options below.
(All donations qualify for tax credit under Section 61 of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001)
