EHSAS Center will be conducting a workshop on introductory STATA on Thursday, at EHSAS Center – Zone B.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, students will learn to:<\/p>\n

  1. Introduce Stata windows:<\/span>\n
    – Command window<\/span><\/div>\n
    – Review window<\/span><\/div>\n
    – Variable window<\/span><\/div>\n
    – Properties window (storage type)<\/span><\/div>\n
    – Result window\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    1. Introduce the windows that separately open:<\/span>\n
      – Do-file<\/span><\/div>\n
      – Browser and edit mode<\/span><\/div>\n
      – Graph<\/span><\/div>\n
      – Log file<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Download the dataset through:<\/span>\n
        -\u2018sysuse\u2019 command<\/span><\/div>\n
        – Computer (Importing CSV, excel, web, .dta files)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Practice basic commands: ‘describe’, ‘summarize’, ‘tabulate’, ‘browse’,\u00a0‘display’,\u00a0‘list’,\u00a0‘drop’, and\u00a0‘clear’<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Renaming variables<\/span><\/div>\n

          2. Generate a new variable using the ‘generate’ command<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
