Summer Academy is a pre-semester academic immersion program that prepares incoming students for university learning through workshops, major-aligned modules, peer-facilitated sessions, and interactive activities. It strengthens readiness, belonging, and engagement while simultaneously equipping student facilitators with economic, social, and market-relevant skill opportunities through applied leadership and teaching roles.

This book talk aims to engage the Habib University community in a critical conversation on citizenship, belonging, and state power through the historical lens of Bengali internment in Pakistan (1971–1974). The session seeks to deepen understanding of the human, political, and ethical dimensions of this understudied chapter in Pakistan’s history, while encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue among students, faculty, and the wider public.

The Summer Institute in Computational Social Science (SICSS) is an international training program that brings together students and researchers to learn and apply computational methods – such as text analysis, network analysis, and data science techniques – to social science research questions. The program combines lectures, hands-on workshops, and collaborative research projects led by participant groups during the two-week period of intensive study and interdisciplinary research. This year Habib is one of the host locations for SICSS, with the institute set to be held from 8th June to 19th June 2026.
