Description:
In this workshop, participants will learn the basic approach to writing Urdu-Hindi in the Devanagari script including the use of vowel matras (diacritics), conjunct letters, and correspondences between the Hindi and Urdu scripts. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to read and write simple Urdu-Hindi sentences in Devanagari, with applications to Sindhi, Gurmukhi, Bengali, and Sanskrit.
