‘Democracy Lab’, would be part of the larger project, housed in the Social
Development & Policy Program, at Habib University and would serve as an
interdisciplinary civic innovation incubator, triggering ‘civic mobilization’,
where participating students design and implement creative, human centered
solutions to real-world civic problems. Over the course of a year, teams of
mentored undergraduates will research civic challenges, engage with a
diversity of formal and informal stakeholders, develop community led
solutions and pilot their ideas with community partners – incubators journey
of knowledge enhancement to knowledge application.
