In this talk, Sarah Stein Greenberg will introduce to the methodology of design thinking and share stories of how using design thinking has allowed multidisciplinary teams of Stanford University students to have a real impact around the world. It will also cover the d.school‘s philosophy around designing learning experiences, and how that approach has fostered an educational environment that helps students become confident in their own creative abilities.

Short Bio

Since 2010, Sarah Stein Greenberg has helped lead the d.school, an interdisciplinary institute at Stanford that nurtures innovators and spreads design thinking. Previously, she worked in the innovation practice of Monitor Grouo in the US and India and advised multinational companies on developing innovation capabilities. Her background includes developing new products and services in a number of emerging markets in Asia and Africa.

Sarah holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA in History from Oberlin College. She loves traveling around the world, speaking to and facilitating groups using design thinking. This year has taken her to Canada, the Philippines, South Africa, Ecuador, and now – finally – Pakistan.
