Discourse Analysis is one of the most used methods to examine texts and elaborate upon their meaning. While scholars and researchers may apply it from a variety of perspectives, within the social sciences discourse analysis is primarily the tool of critical theory. Critical scholarship seeks to uncover hidden and not immediately apparent power relations. Analyzing discourse help precisely in such effort. The workshop, which took place on 6th of March, introduced the students to discourse analysis, a method that enabled them to examine crucial texts and elaborate upon their meaning. — at Playground.
