OMICRON II

25/01/2019-27/01/2019All Day
Habib University

Omicron was established in 2017, with the purpose of providing a platform to the future scientists of Pakistan. It is the brainchild of Habib University’s ASPiRE, the Association of Scientific Progress in Research & Engineering at, which is a student-run and campus based scientific organization, that works to bridge the gap between the acquisition and the application of scientific knowledge and to remove academic obstacles in scientific research.

Featuring an intricately schemed experience, Omicron spans across invigorating modules and inspiring academic talks that serve to provide the basis for a holistic experience in science; incorporating elements beyond textbook learning, real-life implementation and capturing the essence of science in the modern age by shedding light into emerging global issues like climate change.

The competitive core amalgamates diverse landscapes in science, often integrating the different disciplines and dimensions inherent in all sciences. To encourage and facilitate a competitive core while maintaining the purpose of a holistic experience, the competitive core converges activities that institute and test fundamental scientific knowledge in participants.
