On the 6th of November, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi in collaboration with Habib University’s Center for Media and Design present:
A statement in the form of a multimedia event: film, music, poetry, dance – “Karachiscape” fuses all of the arts to celebrate the chaos and noise of Karachi life inside Habib University. Karachi-based artist Sajjad Ahmed has designed an evening in which all the activities – screenings, concerts, poetry slams, and breakdances by Lyari Dance Group “We Are One” – center around the premiere of the documentary “Reading Karachi” with a live soundtrack played by NAPA musicians.
The message is clear: Don’t block the city out – let it in; don’t hide behind your walls and your barbed wire.
